Mobile Check Deposit

Save time and gas by easily depositing your checks wherever you may be. Now you can make a quick and secure deposit of your checks with our Mobile Banking App. You can even check your balance, find ATMS, pay bills, transfer funds and more.

Getting Started

  1. Make sure you have the latest Kent County Credit Union mobile app
  2. Visit the app store on your mobile device
  3. Search Kent County Credit Union Mobile
  4. Download and open the app
  5. Go to the Move Money icon and select Deposit Check to apply

About Mobile Deposit

On the bottom menu bar of the mobile app, click the “Move Money” icon and select “Deposit Check”. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your online account where you may select “Register”. After your registration has been submitted, your account will be reviewed within one business day and should your account be approved, you’ll be notified via email.

No.  With mobile app, you will use your online banking credentials to log into both online banking and mobile deposit.

No. Our Mobile Check Deposit product is free to all eligible KCCU members.

As long as you can use KCCU’s Mobile App, you will be able to use the Mobile Deposit feature.

Mobile Check Deposit is open to any KCCU member whose membership has been open for a minimum of 30 days.  The membership must be in good standing.  Mobile Deposit is not available for youth accounts, representative payee accounts, business, non-profit and DBA accounts.

Yes.  To aid in processing, please make sure you include the account number and the words “KCCU Mobile Deposit Only” on the back of the check, under your signature.  Once you have submitted the check for deposit, write “deposited” on the front of the check.

Yes.  It’s a good idea to hold onto all checks you deposit until you can confirm the funds are in your account.  Once confirmed, be sure to safely destroy them.

Mobile deposits will be posted at 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST, 7 days per week.  NOTE: All deposits are subject to review and funds from mobile deposits may not be available for immediate withdrawal.

Members may make deposits to their own personal savings and checking accounts only.

No, the same rules apply as if someone was depositing at the teller line.

After logging in, you can select “View Mobile Check Deposit History”. This will provide you with the last 30 days of mobile deposit transactions and their current status.

For security reasons, there are certain aspects of each check that must be clearly identifiable with each photo image.  If any of these aspects are not clearly identifiable, your check may come back rejected.  Here are a few tips for best photo quality:

  • Lay the check on a flat, well-lit surface. If the check is crumpled or folded, do your best to flatten it out.
  • If you have a check with a light background, be sure to take the picture on a solid, darker surface to show contrast between the check and background.
  • Be sure that all four corners of your check are entirely within the frame that is provided on the screen.
  • Hold steady. Be sure that the check is not blurry.
  • Avoid shadows.

Yes.  The following limits have been put in place for Mobile Check Deposit:

  1. Maximum dollar amount per deposit: $2,500
  2. Maximum dollar amount per day: $5,000
  3. Maximum number of items per day: 10
  4. Rolling 30-day limit: $10,000
